However, I am not sure that the product that I was shipped was OK. When I loaded it onto my computer, it shut down my ability to connect to the Internet. It took me five hours on the telephone with my Internet provider and Norton to fix my computer. The version of the software that I am now using was down loaded directly from Norton. I do not recommend buying any software from this supplier. Faster, easy to manage and configure than its previous version (2008). In fact I just installed and ran a full system scan and detected one trojan horse than its previous version didn't do it. This NIS 2009 is updating many times a day all the virus definitions. I don't know what else can say about this product only that is the best NIS ever made. As others have noted, the software appears to load faster/not delay boot up, works efficiently in the background, and can be configured to your liking. I primarily bought this for the virus protection. While the "pulse" updating seems like overkill (a marketing tool?), it has worked well for me. I heartily recommend this to users who have been avoiding Norton due to its "bloated" structure in the past. [Note: Wait for a good sale and purchase it before your current subscription expires.
